There's nothing wrong with liking the game. It lead to 2 more being made which happen to be my favorite, but without FFF XIII, we wouldn't even have them. It's not my favorite due to how linear the gameplay is but it doesn't mean I hate it.

I don't remember exactly but i think the driverless Regalia is a visual glitch caused by the fact that there's a point in the game where you have the choice to leave Blind Ignis behind and if you do then go back in time it bugs the Regalia out until you get him back. Don't ask the lore implications of this.

You just got jumped by the imps and killed while afk. You're still next to the car where you were forced out when you died.
